Dampening metal plate valves with different kinds of dampening are most suited for dry conditions, they are adaptable to a wide range and high rotating speeds. They have been produced since many years, in large quantities and mainly installed in air compressors up to 50 bar and 1200 r.p.m. for the PET bottles production.
A particular valve configuration, provided with metal plates and special spring plates or finger springs, grant low clearance.
Thermoplastic plate valves are most suited to operate in dry or lubricated conditions, with a high rotating speed, and are used with either process gas or air.
